OUR STORY

Digital Inclusion and Safer Internet (DISI) is a core program of the Public and Private Development Centre (PPDC) that seeks to promote universal access to ICTs for sustained individual and economic development; and for full participation in society in a way that preserves the safety and freedom of the internet. DISI also seeks to preserve internet freedom by encouraging and institutionalizing safer internet practices; through self-regulation and consideration for other people online.

 

OUR OBJECTIVES

  • To advocate for the adoption of online safety courses into the Nigerian School curriculum.
  • To build a digital village that will demonstrate/showcase the positive economic and social impact of the digital economy through citizen’s participation.
  • To ensure accessible and affordable internet access for the digitally excluded.
  • To foster the responsible use of the internet.
  • Encourage/promote self-regulation online.
  • To promote digital literacy and ICT skills acquisition for full citizens participation in Governance.
